Accredited QNUK First Aid at Work & Emergency First Aid at Work, AED Training,

Pediatric First Aid and Emergency Pediatric First Aid Courses.

Training we can provide is taught by experienced frontline ambulance crews:

 

All courses include an AED course and Include Certificates Valid for 3 Years complete with a Quick Reference Fisrt Aid Manual.

 

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

 

This is a 1 day course and consists of 6 hours first aid training.

 

On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

 

  • understand the role of the first aider, including reference to:
  • the importance of preventing cross infection
  • the need for recording incidents and actions
  • use of available equipment
  • assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an adult, including using an AED
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is choking
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is suffering from shock
  • provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

 

First Aid at Work (FAW) 

 

This is a 3 day course which can be completed three days together or 3 days over three weeks. This course will consists of 18 hours of first aid training.

 

On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • understand the role of the first aider, including reference to:
  • the importance of preventing cross infection
  • the need for recording incidents and actions
  • use of available equipment
  • assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an adult, including using an AED
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is choking
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty who is suffering from shock
  • provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)
  • administer first aid to an adult casualty with:
  • injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries
  • chest injuries
  • burns and scalds
  • eye injuries
  • sudden poisoning
  • anaphylactic shock
  • recognise the presence of major illness (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes) and provide appropriate first aid

 

Quick Course Community CPR!

 

We also Offer 60 minute Quick Courses teaching essential CPR skills to schools, community groups and charities. It aims to teach every attendee when & how to put a patient into the Recovery Position and when to start CPR and use an AED Defibrillator.
